- The VFP was a VFast Class modem... I don't know if they got all the bugs
- out by the last ROM version... You always have to make sure that you have
- the latest firmware... Most people complain about the 14.4PC/EX models
- which are RPI.... I would not recommend an RPI modem from any brand NOR
- an AT&T controllerless chipset modem... While they can be much cheaper
- (I've seen a Boca with the AT&T controllersless 14.4 KBPS modem for $25
- !), it isn't usually worth the hassle... You may spend more money calling
- tech support than you saved... (Zoom and Boca do have Email tech support-
- if you can get on-line to send it)! BTW, I'm a very happy owner of a Zoom
- v.34i and old Zoom 96/24 faxmodem...
